Shah Alam Toastmasters Club concluded our 570th meeting tonight, and what a vivifying meeting it was! With the theme "Light Up Your Life" and "vivify" as the Word of the Evening, the club had a fun and edifying evening.
First of all, thank you to our distinguished guests, especially our GE: Area Director (B2) DTM Uma Vasudevan of Gasing Hills TMC who gave encouragement and advice to help uplift the club. DTM Sarah Abedi elegantly guided us through the meeting as our articulate and gracious Toastmaster of the Evening, ensuring we did not miss a beat.
Table Topics was then handled by our Area Director (B3) Rathippriyah Balsan who delighted us with her objects-as-topics cookies, a light, bangles, and even a saree . The Fantastic Four (table topics speakers) tonight were: *Ilya Haziq *Firdaus Johari *NorHafizah Yaakob *Vasudevan Arumugam Their speeches were evaluated by the ever-enthusiastic and energetic Veera Manoharan, ACG ALB.
Our Project Speakers tonight each presented us with plenty of food for thought: Saiful Ikram Selamat, PMP DLP: MS1 "Life is Short" Nancy Hon, PI1 "Can Toastmasters Vivify One's Self Esteem?" Ching Yun Wee, TC1 "Älternatives to Plastic" Ruziana Mohamed, PM5 "Adapt and Organise"
